Who We Are

Building preventative systems where children can belong and thrive.

Who We Are

Paradigm Project is a research-led charity focused on upstream education reform. We use community-rooted evidence to design and deliver practical interventions that strengthen school transitions and dismantle systemic barriers.

Our work sits at the intersection of research, training, and local delivery shaped by the belief that education should not wait for crisis before responding. We partner with families, schools, and local authorities to co-produce solutions that are preventative, empowering, and sustainable.

Research is not a side project. It is central to who we are. We embed participatory and community-led inquiry into everything we do ensuring that lived experience shapes not only what we study, but how we act. From school exclusions to race equity and safeguarding, our research generates the insights that drive our programmes, inform our training, and influence policy.

We believe that inclusive, systemic change starts with listening deeply, challenging assumptions, and moving evidence into action. Our aim is simple: to build an education system where every child is not only safe, but seen, supported, and able to thrive.

Our Vision & Mission

What We Do

Research

Our research challenges the structures that marginalise young people and create pathways into exclusion and criminalisation. We use participatory and community-led approaches to uncover the root causes of inequality, with a particular focus on school exclusions, race equity, cultural humility, and safeguarding.

We centre the voices of those most affected by the system; students, parents, and educators, ensuring their insights inform practice, influence policy, and drive lasting change.

Our Research

Programmes & Training

We turn evidence into action through practical programmes and training designed to support educators, families, and young people at key points of transition.

We equip schools and practitioners with tools to:

  • Strengthen relationships and belonging
  • Identify and support children at risk of exclusion
  • Foster inclusive and affirming environments
  • Work in partnership with families and communities

All of our delivery is informed by local research, co-designed with stakeholders, and evaluated for impact. Whether you are a headteacher, youth worker, policymaker, or parent, we create spaces for reflection, connection, and meaningful change.
